Harold Moss was a legend in his adopted home city of Tacoma, Washington. A Texas-born civil rights activist, national guardsman, and passionate advocate for justice, he was the first African American member of both the Tacoma City Council and the Pierce County Council. He eventually became Tacoma's first African American mayor.
